Little Guests, Big Fun: Our Office Summer Event

It is me, Jerry Garrett, who is back with another blog post for this week, so please take a moment to read it. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

Here is what I would like to share with you this week as the topic for this week, a recent experience that I had at my father’s office at a summer camp that I attended recently, which I would like to share with you in light of this week’s topic.

As a first step, I would like to thank everyone who was there during that time, helping, even though they all had their own projects going on at the same time, for their assistance.
It was the company that was involved in the project that was located in the area of the project, All Net Solutions, where it was located.

So with that being said, there is no better time to start than now, isn’t there? Let’s get started, shall we?
The moment we walked into the building, they gave us a small coloring book for us to color as soon as we arrived there.

As a beginner at coloring, I didn’t feel like I could make a lot of drawings, so I only made one or two.
In the following minutes, it was time for a new experience – a puppet show.
This was different from what I typically see, but it talked about cartoons, which is a thing that everyone enjoys watching, as they are something that everyone can relate to.

However, I don’t watch cartoons anymore, especially Hindi cartoons, so that posed a bit of a problem for me. Peppa Pig was one of these cartoons, that I was somewhat familiar with. But there were also other cartoons like Chota Beem, and Motlu Patlu, etc.
As part of the puppet show, they asked children questions, and those who answered correctly were given chocolates as a reward.

As a result, teams were formed for activities related to technology.
There was a discussion about how to build a website, explaining the roles of UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and back-end developers as part of the process.
As a tech enthusiast, it was thoroughly engaging, and it was a pleasure to answer questions.
Following this, they provided a sheet with a layout of a website for us to use as a guide to identify UX/UI flaws, which was both fun and informative for us.
A magazine cover was due to be drawn later on in the lesson.

The time constraints, however, forced us to move to the third floor in order to participate in more activities, beginning with the painting of a canvas.

Then we were able to do some pottery and gardening – planting in pots – after that.
Throughout all of these activities, I found them to be enjoyable and engaging.

At around 5 o’clock, hand painting began, and then a snack break was taken prior to the next activity, which was hand painting.
As for me, I had a good time devouring a burger and fries as well as a diet Coke, but I didn’t find it that enjoyable.
It was a fun-filled and educational day for my family. As the day came to an end, one of my dad’s friends shuttled us home.

Many thanks to everyone involved in making the event a success, especially Satinder uncle for providing the ride back from the event.

I look forward to seeing you next time.
Until next time!
