It was supposed to go like a normal Saturday, but the day before, our music teacher Sameer Dhiman had cancelled our music class. He had told us that there was an event/concert that he was part of, and he had invited us. It was a Christian concert, and it wasn’t in a big concert hall, so it wasn’t going to be crammed. It was just going to be the auditorium at St. Stephens School. Two or three churches had come together to perform, including a few bands.
The event was set for 7 PM. We planned to leave by 6:30, and generally we would have made it. Except for the fact that this was a Saturday evening, which is the time that almost everybody would be going out. By the time we reached the school it was about 7:20. We went and met our teacher, said our hellos, and then we found our seats and sat down. By that time, the event had already started and there were performances going on. This was a Hindi and an English concert, so some of the performers were singing in English and some in Hindi.
Let me tell you, it was great. I felt it was amazing how there was a different energy between the performances. At the start, it was focused more on the music, taking it slow and letting the sound really ring. But as it progressed, it started to get faster: solos on the electric guitar, faster drum beats, and so on. As a guitar player myself, I really enjoyed the performances, especially the bass guitar, which brought everything together.
Then came the performances where my music teacher took part, and let me tell you, it was awesome. Which part? His performance, or the fact that I was watching my music teacher perform in the first place? Then came a section where it became fast-paced, and he started doing guitar solos, which switched things up, and I enjoyed it a lot

They also played some of my favorite songs, including Sadaa Raja, and my personal favorite out of all of them, Praise by Elevation Worship. It was fast-paced, and it led almost everyone to start dancing. It was great because it made everyone start worshipping.
Another thing I liked was how it consisted of songs like Praise, which is relatively new, and also songs like Just Reach Out by Petra, which is a really old song and one that I listen to often.
After everything ended, I was able to meet some of my friends from the Youth Camp that I had gone to. I chatted with them for a bit. There was some tea, so I took that, and then we took one final photo, and then we came back home!

See you all next post!
